Absolutely amazing jag f type r, supercharged v-8 with raging power and an exhaust note that sounds like a racing car. But the f type 8r is something very different. Its a noisy, swashbuckling sports coupe that sweeps through curves and along country roads with a wicked crackle from astern. This is a 2-seater automobile for both leisurely weekends and unashamedly fast driving, solid and built with the quality that is a characteristic of the reborn jaguar of recent years. I never traveled in regular mode, the sport setting was too much fun. I slipped onto the freeway with a ferocious push at half throttle, accompanied by a loud roar that must have startled passers-by. After ten miles, i went into the mountains and spent most of my time in second or third. The maximum velocity is limited to 186 mph.

The front seats are delightfully comfortable, and there is adequate space in the back ones. This car is carefully designed for comfortable long distance motoring and effortless progress from point a to point b in town. There’s a distinctive cachet here, which is appealing to discerning owners. They seek comfort, luxury, and prestige of a distinctive automobile. I breezed onto the freeway in fine style, which the car thoroughly enjoyed. The xf89 surprised me when i headed for the mountains and engaged sport. This was fun, for the car, to my surprise, thoroughly enjoyed a hustle through the hairpins and slaloms. The steering allows accurate lines; the pickup out of corners is smooth and immediate, with complete control. Second and third are the gears of choice. Yet it’s docile enough when not pushed to be an excellent urban car. This is an automobile that will appeal to those who enjoy luxury, yet enjoy an occasional fling in the mountains. It maintains the reputation of jaguars as refined cars with a classic feel. The xf8 will appeal to drivers of all ages and both sexes. Jaguar owners tend to keep their cars, so we don’t see many on the lot. This is a well checked out powder blue example, with 118,000 miles on the odometer, a not unreasonable mileage for its age. The two owners have looked after the car well, which drives without rattles and is very smooth on the road. There are some signs of wear on the fascia above the dashboard, but certainly not enough to subtract from an attractive, aggressively priced car. This is a fine daily driver and weekend companion for owners of all ages seeking an affordable, distinctive automobile. But owners of this car are, above all, out for a comfortable ride, and that the jaguar provides in spades. I took the car through some quite curvaceous slalom bends in which the xj excelled. This is exactly what is sets out to be: a gentleman’s luxury sedan in the finest sense of the word. The xj6 is a trip down memory lane that will appeal to people who crave simplicity and luxury in their cars. It is unobtrusive on the road, gorgeous to look upon, and very comfortable. 1969 jaguar coupe two seat. I'm the third owner and the previous owner had the car since 1975. The car has not been restored having most of the original paint. The car is number matching. The car has been touched up in spots over the years but the paint does show its age and some blemishes. Everything on the car works, except the clock and the a/c. A/c will need to be charged (the compressor does work). Car comes with tool roll, original jaguar keys, owners manual, and i do have the rest of a new carpet set that needs to be installed.
